VLOG: Edinburgh (Part 1)

Steeped in history, Edinburgh seamlessly blends old and new, providing locals with the perfect destination to experience the sights, sounds and tastes of a diverse and vibrant city.

We decided to take a little new year weekend city break to Edinburgh as a Christmas treat for each other. Only an hour and a half by plane from Gatwick it was a nice smooth running and easy experience to get here. Upon arrival it was simple enough to hop onto the Airlink Bus which took us to Waverley Station at the centre of the city in just half an hour. We stayed at a lovely hotel called Ten Hill Place based in the Old Town, just a short walk from the bus drop-off. It was a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location, highly recommended!

We spent one of our days touring some of the local villages on our way to the Glenturret Distillery which houses The Famous Grouse Experience tour, here we had a private tasting tour of four exquisite Scotch Whiskeys.
