Sydney is Australia’s largest and most famous city. Think of the World Heritage-listed Sydney Opera House and its ingenious shape, like billowing white sails, and the impressive steel arch of the Harbour Bridge. The blue waters of the harbour and the white sands and curling waves of Bondi Beach will also come to mind.
During our limited time here it unfortunately rained, except for one day, so we managed to take a long walking tour around the whole city. Starting from our apartment we walked through the centre of the city up to Mrs Macquarie’s Chair to get a perfect view of the Opera House. Then headed through the stunning Botanical Gardens and across the city to make our way to the famous Darling Harbour, where the sun beamed down on us for a few hours, perfect timing.
